Surfers find the waves at Unawatuna Beach quite exhilarating. The beach is ideal for water sports like snorkelling and scuba diving. The place is also known for its explosive nightlife!
Dewata Beach
For surfing enthusiasts, Dewata is the best beach in Galle to visit. The waves at Dewata Beach are high enough to give surfers a fantastic surfing experience. Near the beach, there are several surfing schools where one can learn. It witnesses slow and soft waves as well as free of sharp reefs and rocks, making it the ideal beach to surf. On the beach, there are several quaint cafes and shacks that serve mouth-watering seafood with chilled beer and cocktails!
Ahungalla Beach
Located in Galle district, the palm lined Ahungalla Beach is a great place to sunbathe and relax. Among the beaches in Galle, this would not be a top choice for swimming or surfing, as the tides are usually too strong, and red flags are often raised to warn the visitors around. But one can spend long hours at this beach to enjoy its refreshing vibes and panoramic sunsets!
Hiriketiya
